Batman fans were waiting for the Joker’s new girlfriend, Punchline, to appear in the series, but they weren’t just waiting for what could be the final confrontation: the first meeting between Punchline and Harley Quinn. This confrontation will take place in the Batman #93, and thanks to a glimpse of this fateful encounter, it seems that Harley won’t do as well when the knife is hit.

Founded by James Tignon IV and Jorge Jimenez, Punchline has created several short comic strips – Batman #89 and The Year of the Villain : Hell coming up 3. Jimenez previously described Punchline as the polar opposite of Harley Quinn, which is very clearly illustrated in this overview, where Harley is armed with his hammer and then a rifle, allowing Punchline to be conquered in a truly epic battle, at least until Punchline takes over – with Harley’s fate, at least until Batman #93 hits the boards.

Although there is still a lot unknown about Punchline, it will be interesting to see the ever-changing role he plays in the Joker War arch that the series is building.

This is the story that began in the epilogue of Batman 85 and will be the biggest wild card story since Batman : The final came back in the New 52, as already mentioned in the Tynion declaration. This story will have huge, huge consequences for Gotham City. You see all the seeds of the Joker War in the background of YOUR DARK, especially when it reaches its peak in April, but the big story begins in May.

It’s going to be a very, very scary story, Tion continues. I can’t say much yet, except that you should probably read it and order many, many, many copies, in case you get too excited and break one with tension.

Batman meets a designer as his dark drawings reach their epic climax! Batman lost more money last year than he could have imagined, and now he faces a price so high that it will change the course of his life. And there’s worse on the horizon. In the midst of all this terror, he feels the shock wave. The Joker War has begun, and Gotham City will never be the same again.

Batman #93, painted by James Tignon IV with paintings by Guillem Marsh and Javier Fernandez, comes out on the 15th. April will be available.
